Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 25 August 2026

New Spring Vista CIC is committed to making our website, information, site and services as accessible and inclusive as reasonably possible.

We recognise that people access information, environments and learning experiences in different ways. We aim to anticipate barriers and consider reasonable adjustments so that disabled people are not placed at a substantial disadvantage.

WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY

We have designed the website with the intention that visitors should be able to:

• navigate through clearly labelled pages and headings;
• access information using a computer, tablet or mobile device;
• enlarge text using their browser’s zoom function;
• use links and buttons with meaningful labels;
• understand content written in reasonably clear language; and
• contact us if they need information in another format.

The website has not yet undergone a formal independent accessibility audit. We therefore do not claim that every page or function fully conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.

Known or possible limitations include:

• some PDF or Word documents may not be fully structured for screen-reader use;
• some images may require further checking for appropriate alternative text;
• some design elements may need adjustment following testing at different zoom levels and screen sizes; and
• functions provided by Wix or other third-party booking and payment services may be outside our direct control.

If you cannot use part of the website, please contact us and we will consider another reasonable way of providing the information or service.

ACCESSING NEW SPRING VISTA

New Spring Vista is situated on hillside land with convenient access from the main A367.

Vehicles can travel from the road down a hard-cored track to an area with ample parking. The yard and route to the arena are surfaced with Type 1 MOT gravel.

Wheeled access is possible, and a wheelchair can access the yard and arena. However, visitors should be aware that gravel surfaces may be uneven or loose in places and can be affected by weather and site conditions. We strongly encourage anyone with mobility concerns to contact us before attending so that the route and any reasonable adjustments can be discussed.

FACILITIES

The following facilities are currently available:

• vehicle access from the A367;
• ample on-site parking;
• wheelchair access to and from the yard;
• wheelchair access to the arena;
• handwashing facilities; and
• seating for parents, carers, support workers or others waiting during a session.

There are currently no toilet facilities on site, including no accessible toilet. Visitors should take this into account before travelling or booking a session. We will update this statement when the available facilities change.

ASSISTANCE DOGS

Because New Spring Vista operates around horses and other animals, assistance dogs must be considered individually before attending.

Anyone wishing to bring an assistance dog must discuss this with the Director in advance. The assessment will consider:

• the needs of the disabled person;
• the training and behaviour of the assistance dog;
• the horses and other animals involved;
• the needs and safety of other participants;
• the planned activity and areas of the site being used; and
• animal welfare, licensing and risk-management requirements.

The Director will make the final decision about whether and under what conditions an assistance dog can be admitted to the site. Where an assistance dog cannot safely be accommodated, we will discuss whether another reasonable form of support or adjustment is available.

SUPPORT DURING VISITS AND SESSIONS

A parent, carer, advocate, support worker or trusted adult may support a visitor or learner where this has been agreed as part of the session arrangements.

Reasonable adjustments are considered individually, taking account of:

• the learner’s physical, sensory, communication and emotional needs;
• the nature of the activity;
• the environment and weather;
• the safety of everyone present; and
• horse and animal welfare.

Please contact us before attending if you would like to discuss access, communication or support requirements.

ALTERNATIVE FORMATS AND COMMUNICATION

If you cannot access information on the website or need it in another format, we may be able to provide it:

• in a simplified or reduced-text format;
• in a larger-text format;
• as an accessible Word document;
• by email;
• verbally during a scheduled telephone call; or
• through a parent, carer, advocate, referrer or trusted adult.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within 5 working days. More complex requests may take longer, but we will explain what we can provide and the expected timescale.

REPORTING AN ACCESSIBILITY PROBLEM

We welcome feedback about accessibility. If you find a problem, cannot access part of the website or site, or believe we have not met an accessibility need, please contact us:

Email: newspringvista@gmail.com

You may also use the contact form on our website. If telephone communication would be easier, please ask us to arrange a scheduled call.

Please explain which page, document, facility or service caused difficulty and, where possible, what would help.

COMPLAINTS

If you are dissatisfied with how we have responded to an accessibility concern, you may use our Complaints Policy and Procedure, available through the website footer.

The Equality Advisory and Support Service provides independent information and advice about discrimination and rights under the Equality Act 2010.

ONGOING REVIEW

We will review accessibility during the final website checks, after publication and whenever significant new content or functionality is added. We will update this statement when testing identifies limitations or improvements.

This statement will also be reviewed at least annually.

PREPARATION OF THIS STATEMENT

This statement was prepared on 25 August 2026. It is based on an internal review of the website during its pre-publication development.

A further review will be completed after the website is published and its live pages, booking functions, documents and cookie controls can be tested.
