Children and Adults Safeguarding Policy and Procedure
Our Commitment to Safeguarding
At New Spring Vista CIC, the safety, wellbeing, and protection of children, young people, and adults are our highest priorities.
We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where everyone who participates in our programmes feels respected, valued, and protected from harm. Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do and is embedded throughout our policies, procedures, and day-to-day practice.
We believe that every individual has the right to be safe, regardless of their age, disability, race, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, or personal circumstances. We work in partnership with participants, families, carers, schools, professionals, and other agencies to promote wellbeing and respond appropriately to any safeguarding concerns.
Our safeguarding approach includes:
-
Robust safeguarding policies and procedures
-
Safe recruitment and DBS checking of staff and volunteers
-
Ongoing safeguarding training and awareness
-
Clear reporting and record-keeping processes
-
Appropriate information sharing where concerns arise
-
A commitment to protecting both children and adults at risk
-
Working alongside local safeguarding partnerships and statutory agencies
All staff, volunteers, and directors have a responsibility to safeguard the welfare of those who access our services and to act promptly where concerns are identified.
If we believe that a child, young person, or adult is at risk of harm, we may share information with appropriate safeguarding professionals, local authorities, or emergency services in accordance with our legal responsibilities and safeguarding duties.
