ABOUT THE PROGRAMME Led by Miranda Fildes, BEd Primary (Hons), our personalised primary tutoring in Somerset offers children an individual approach to learning in the distinctive New Spring Vista environment. WHO IS IT FOR? The service is principally designed for primary-aged learners. Enquiries for secondary-aged children may also be considered where the learner’s current working level, needs and required subject support fall within Miranda’s professional experience. Tutoring may benefit children who need to rebuild confidence, address gaps in learning or approach literacy and numeracy in a calmer, more responsive way. THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT Sessions will be based in our purpose-designed Inside Out Classroom beside the pony shelter. This calm learning space includes a specially designed window overlooking the horses, allowing learners to connect with the natural environment while working securely and comfortably. Where appropriate, learning may also extend into the Buddy Zone, yard and wider outdoor areas. Vista Grove will provide an additional nature-based learning environment as it develops. A PERSONALISED APPROACH Teaching begins with an individual assessment and is planned around each learner’s strengths, needs, interests and pace. Sessions may support phonics, reading, writing, literacy and primary mathematics through practical, creative and multisensory teaching. No interest in or direct interaction with the ponies is required. PROGRAMME STRUCTURE The programme includes six weekly 60-minute 1:1 sessions. Progress is reviewed midway through the programme and summarised at the end. Where further tutoring would be beneficial, an additional six-session programme may be agreed with the parent or carer. PROGRAMME FEE Six personalised 60-minute sessions: £360 Payment may be made in full or through four instalments of £90.
